MUSIC
PROGRAM
Our music program is an extension of our weekly Chapel services. With a heavy emphasis on ministry/ worship music our students can explore the world of instruments and learn how music can also be a form of praise for Jesus. Included in tuition but optional for students, Life Christian Academy students can choose to participate in the music program. Students will alternate playing and singing on Tuesdays for Chapel and will have the opportunity to perform if they choose, during the year. Both advanced and beginner lessons can be accommodated.
ART
Students in K5-7th grade participate yearly in Katy Christian Academy’s Elementary Convention. Convention serves as a wonderful opportunity for our elementary and middle school students to meet children from other Christian academies while teaching them how to win and lose graciously. Students can choose to compete in several different categories such as but not limited to, photography, painting, sketching, watercolor, pastels, book dioramas, color pencil etc. While at convention, artwork is judged by category and grade division allowing students to earn, first, second or third place per category.
